Financial Coaches
Coaches work individually or in a group setting with class participants to offer encouragement, answer individual questions and refer to additional resources as needed. As a coach, volunteers can commit as little as an hour per month to assist participants build their financial resilience
Financial Instructors
Are you an engaging speaker and want to help people increase their knowledge of personal finance? Instructors deliver classroom instruction on a wide array of financial topics. Classes meet for approximately 2 hours each month for 5 months..
Successful instructors encourage participants to go beyond learning new concepts to applying them in the practical applications associated with each lesson. Month by month participants build a financial plan using the information and the practical applications provided.
Administration
Do you have skills in office administration, data analysis, or report writing? Bank On Hampton Roads depends on the talents our volunteers have to offer.
Management
The Bank on Hampton Roads Regional Steering Committee provides guidance to the program and offers volunteers an opportunity to assist in developing strategic plans. The Finance Disbursement Budget Committee (FDBC) offers volunteers with an accounting, non-profit oversight, or business background an opportunity to oversee the administration of donated funds.
Community Outreach
Allows volunteers to attend community events to share information about the Bank On program..
